 Mobile About Us

Mission
"Country Club of Detroit is dedicated to providing its members an outstanding membership experience featuring superior service and premier facilities, enriched by distinctive social events and family activities."

Vision
“To be the premier country club in Michigan.”

Country Club of Detroit is a traditional family-oriented club dedicated to providing its members an outstanding golf experience, superior dining, quality service and facilities with year-round recreation and social activities. In the lives of most members, the club holds a special place. The majestic building and its expansive grounds are only the housing for something more important: the fellowship of friends who congregate here. Members congratulate friends’ successes, share in their sorrows, mark the passage of their milestones and watch as their children and grandchildren grow to adulthood. The Club is a community in the richest sense of the word.

Junior Booking Procedure
Juniors will have to call day of and book their reservation directly with the Fitness Center receptionist at (313)649-2239. The receptionist will block out a time slot for them and make a handwritten list of the Juniors coming in that day. This way it does not take one of the parent's reservations for that day in case both parents would like to use the facility, as well as ensure equal access for all Juniors.

Rules to Follow:

  • Only eight members allowed in the facility per hour (will hold six for Juniors).
  • Juniors can book personal training sessions, during Junior hours. Please call the Fitness Center receptionist to schedule.
  • Members would have precedence over Juniors during that hour in case that hour is full.
    • (Last Junior to make a reservation will be asked to change times.)
  • No Circuit training, unless organized in one specific area.
  • No cell phone surfing while in the Fitness Center.

Out of courtesy to other members please wipe down equipment after being used. This is to protect you and everyone else.

Thank you!

 Day Camp
We are pleased to announce that the Country Club Day Camp will open this summer for a 6-week season! Our goal is for our Summer Program is to return with great enthusiasm, a committed staff and a few new things to offer our campers, CLICK HERE for the Day Camp Brochure. With that in mind, we are applying our experiences from operating successfully in the Summer of 2020 and will be bringing you a well-planned, yet modified camp program. As always, we are committed to following CDC, federal and state guidelines as we consider programming formats for the warm months ahead.

We know that kids need camp more than ever. COVID and its many restrictions have taken a toll on our children's well-being. The enriching experience of Day Camp can help replenish the social connections, outdoor adventures, and physical fun that they have sorely missed.

New This Summer:
We will operate from June 22nd through July 30th, 2021 which is a 6-week session. We continue to operate four days a week and will concentrate on having most activities outdoors. We will NOT be offering our pre-school program for 3-year-olds. Our Junior Camp will include 4- and 5-year-olds and will only be half day (9:30 am to 12:30 pm). This will help us with space issues as well as keeping the groups in smaller sections in accordance with state guidelines. We will continue to offer our Sponsorship Program on a very limited basis.

You can contact Ellen Durand for more information. Please sign up as soon as possible as we need to adhere to our registration deadline of May 15th, CLICK HERE for the Day Camp Application! We have some fun and exciting new things planned for the camp groups and we can't wait to see you in Summer 2021!

See you soon!
-Ellen Durand, Camp Director
